Neptune Foundation, organized a drawing cum painting competition for students of Arya Kanya Gurukul, New Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi on April 21, 2013. The competition was well attended with enthusiastic participation from all girls of the school. The idea behind the painting competition was to provide a platform for the girls to showcase their creative talents, which was displayed in plenty at the event. We were particularly enthused by the extra efforts put in by the girls of junior classes.
In an hour and a half’s duration, the drawing sheets displayed a wide variety of colours and images ranging from India’s historical monuments to beautiful flowers and snow peaked mountains, making it difficult for the select panel of judges to decide on the winners.
After much deliberation, the panel adjudged three top along with consolation winners, followed by prize distribution and a vote of thanks by the members of the Neptune Foundation.
